Over 30 years of experience and reputation

I specialize in the design of boutiques, restaurants and offices designing and giving architectural advice. I started as an interior designer in 1978 working for Casappo & Associates, a well-known Japanese design office. Following this I established a partnership office with my brother. This was a successful venture with our work being featured in both Japanese and Italian design magazines.
In 1986 I moved to Britain working for Fitch Benoy, a large UK design practice and Mitsui & Co PLC. In 2002 Ara Design was established.

Chartered Society of Designers


 

In 1990 I became a member of the CSD (Chartered Society of Designers) the world’s oldest and largest chartered body of professional designers. Founded in 1930, the Society is governed by a Royal Charter.
